Record a public or bank holiday

Default English uses Public Holiday; UK English uses Bank Holiday. Record one date per entry and choose whether it counts as a full, three-quarter, half, or quarter day.

  1. Tap the round plus button and choose New Entry.
  2. Choose Entry TypePublic Holiday or Bank Holiday.
  3. Set the Date.
  4. Open Equals and choose 1, 0.75, 0.5, or 0.25 days.
  5. Optionally add tags or notes, then save.

This entry type has no end date or All Day switch. Create a separate entry for each holiday.

How the holiday changes regular hours

With the default Counts as Working Time setting off, the holiday reduces regular hours by the chosen fraction. On an eight-hour day, a half-day holiday leaves four regular hours. Work recorded on the same date is compared with that reduced target.

For weekly or monthly regular hours, WorkTimes reduces the period’s target using the weekday duration in the work schedule. A custom daily-regular-hours value takes precedence and is not reduced again.
