Set up WorkTimes and record your first entry
If no account exists yet, WorkTimes guides you through the essential settings. You can then record your first time entry.
Set up WorkTimes
- On the empty overview, tap OK! Let’s start.
- Under Your Name, Job, ..., enter a clear name for the account.
- Under Display Duration as, choose whether durations and overtime appear as clock time or decimal values, then tap Continue.
- Under Set your Regular Hours, enter your daily regular hours for each weekday.
- To use a weekly or monthly target instead, choose Switch to weekly or monthly regular hours, then select Weekly or Monthly.
- For weekly or monthly regular hours, set the weekday durations WorkTimes should use for all-day absences.
- Review the preset Working Breaks. If you mainly use the time clock and clock out for breaks, set these values to zero.
- If needed, enter an existing positive or negative overtime balance. Otherwise, leave it at zero.
- Tap Finish.
Choose daily, weekly, or monthly regular hours
- Daily: WorkTimes calculates overtime for each weekday.
- Weekly: WorkTimes calculates overtime for each calendar week.
- Monthly: WorkTimes calculates overtime for each calendar month.
Warning: Do not change this calculation period later. Doing so can produce irreversible changes to existing work-time and overtime calculations. If you need a different period, create a new account.
Record your first entry
- On the overview, tap the round plus button and choose New Entry.
- Review the date, start, end, and break.
- If needed, choose another entry type or add tags and a note.
- Save the entry.
