Create and restore a manual backup

A manual backup saves your WorkTimes data in a file at a location you choose. Keep one as an additional backup or use it when automatic iCloud backup is unavailable.

Create a manual backup

1. From the overview, open the menu (•••) and choose Settings.
2. Open Backup → Manual Backup & Restore.
3. Tap Create Backup and wait for WorkTimes to prepare the file.
4. Tap Share Backup.
5. Choose a safe location from the share sheet, such as Files.

Remember where you saved the backup file. You need that file to restore the data later.

Restore a manual backup

Warning: Restoring replaces every account, entry, and tag currently in WorkTimes. It cannot be undone. Create another backup first if you may still need the existing data.

1. Open Settings → Backup → Manual Backup & Restore.
2. Tap Choose Backup to Restore.
3. Find and select the required WorkTimes backup file.
4. Check the filename and confirm Restore.
5. Wait for WorkTimes to confirm the restore.
