Record sick leave, sick-child leave, or special leave
You can record Sick Leave, Sick Child Leave, and Special Leave for a full day, part of a day, a number of hours, or a longer period. WorkTimes reports the three types separately and does not deduct them from annual leave.
Record full-day or multi-day leave
- Create a New Entry and choose the required Entry Type.
- Keep All Day on and set Starts and Ends.
- Open Equals, include the dates that count, and choose 1, 0.75, 0.5, or 0.25 days for each.
- Optionally add tags or notes, then save.
Review weekends, non-working days, and public or bank holidays. Exclude any date that should not count as leave.
Record leave in hours
Turn off All Day, then set the start and end times. With daily regular hours, WorkTimes compares the duration with the weekday duration: two hours on an eight-hour day equal 0.25 days.
Effect on work time
These types count as working time by default. To change this, open Account Details → Entry Types, select the type, and turn off Counts as Working Time. Saving recalculates existing entries of that type.
