Use widgets and Shortcuts
The WorkTimes widget shows time-clock information and opens the app when tapped. Shortcuts actions can clock an account in or out or return its current status.
Add a Home Screen widget
- Touch and hold the Home Screen, choose to edit it, then add a widget.
- Search for WorkTimes and choose the Time Clock widget.
- Add the widget, then touch and hold it to edit its settings.
- Select the account and choose whether to Show account name.
Add a Lock Screen widget or Watch complication
Edit the Lock Screen and add a WorkTimes widget to an available position. On Apple Watch, edit the watch face and select a WorkTimes complication. Tapping either opens WorkTimes.
Create a Shortcut
- Open Apple’s Shortcuts app and create a shortcut.
- Add an action, search for WorkTimes, and choose an action.
- Select the WorkTimes Account, then tap Done.
Available actions include Clock In, Clock Out, Clock in or out, and Is Clocked In?. You can run the shortcut from the Shortcuts app, a widget, an automation, or Siri—for example, “Clock in to WorkTimes.”
If a widget or shortcut is out of date
Open WorkTimes once and confirm that the selected account still exists. Then edit the widget or shortcut and select the account again. If needed, remove and add the widget or action again.
